{"id":23748,"date":"2011-09-09T20:34:00","date_gmt":"2011-09-10T00:34:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/countingpips.com\/fx\/2011\/09\/09\/bank-of-england-keeps-bank-rate-at-0-50\/"},"modified":"2011-09-09T20:34:00","modified_gmt":"2011-09-10T00:34:00","slug":"bank-of-england-keeps-bank-rate-at-0-50","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.investmacro.com\/fx\/2011\/09\/09\/bank-of-england-keeps-bank-rate-at-0-50\/","title":{"rendered":"Bank of England Keeps Bank Rate at 0.50%"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span><span><span><span>The&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bankofengland.co.uk\/\">Bank of England<\/a>&nbsp;<\/span><span>(BoE) kept its official Bank Rate, which is paid on commercial bank reserves, at a record low stimulatory level of 0.50%. &nbsp;The BoE also made no changes to its 200 billion pound asset purchase program (also known as quantitative easing). &nbsp;The Bank does not supply commentary with its monetary policy decisions, however the minutes of the monetary policy committee meeting will be published at 9.30am on Wednesday the 21st of September 2011, according to the Bank&#8217;s&nbsp;announcement. &nbsp;The Bank next meets on the 6th of October.<\/span><\/span><br \/> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.blogger.com\/post-edit.g?blogID=8290544642025682538&amp;postID=2897910347006831100&amp;from=pencil\" name=\"more\"><\/a><\/span><\/span><br \/><a name='more'><\/a><span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.centralbanknews.info\/\" name=\"more\"><\/a><span><span>The Bank also held the official&nbsp;Bank <a href=\"http:\/\/www.centralbanknews.info\/2011\/08\/bank-of-england-holds-bank-rate-at-050.html\">Rate unchanged<\/a>&nbsp;at 0.50% at its August&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><span><span>meeting&nbsp;this year;
