Caterpillar Reportedly Poised to Acquire Chinese Mining Equipment Maker

Heavy equipment maker Caterpillar (CAT) has reportedly reached an agreement to buy China’s ERA Mining Machinery. The Wall Street Journal reports that Caterpillar will pay $887 million for the Hong Kong-listed company.
