Excluding Kumtor, Gross Domestic Product grew by an annual 4.3 percent.<br \/>&nbsp; &nbsp; The Kyrgyzstan central bank is one of the six central banks worldwide that have both raised and lowered its rates this year, mainly in response to movements in the exchange rate and inflation.<br \/>&nbsp; &nbsp; The som started depreciating against the U.S. dollar in June and was trading at 69.15 today, down almost 15 percent this year.<br \/><a name='more'><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic issued the following statement:<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"RVPS2_48161\" style=\"font-family: Arial; padding: 0px; text-align: justify; text-indent: 38px;\"><span class=\"RVTS2_48161\" style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman';\">&#8220;On October 26, 2015 the Board of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic decided to retain the policy rate at the level of 10.00 percent per annum.&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"RVPS2_48161\" style=\"font-family: Arial; padding: 0px; text-align: justify; text-indent: 38px;\"><span class=\"RVTS2_48161\" style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman';\">Economic growth in the Kyrgyz Republic remains positive. Economic growth rates in January-September of 2015 (6.3 percent) were mainly driven by the expansion of production at the &#8220;Kumtor&#8221; gold-mining company.
