{"id":76519,"date":"2015-08-07T12:17:05","date_gmt":"2015-08-07T16:17:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/countingpips.com\/?p=76519"},"modified":"2015-08-07T15:27:46","modified_gmt":"2015-08-07T19:27:46","slug":"usdjpy-jumps-to-two-month-high-on-u-s-jobs-data","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.investmacro.com\/forex\/2015\/08\/usdjpy-jumps-to-two-month-high-on-u-s-jobs-data\/","title":{"rendered":"USD\/JPY jumps to two-month high on U.S. Jobs data"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"inves-4012276760\" class=\"inves-below-title-posts inves-entity-placement\"><div id =\"posts_date_custom\"><div align=\"left\">August 7, 2015<\/div><hr style=\"border: none; border-bottom: 3px solid black;\">\r\n<\/div><\/div><p>Article by <a href=\"http:\/\/countingpips.com\/contributors\/contributor-profile-forextime\/\">ForexTime<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The dollar climbed to its highest level in nearly four months on Friday after data showed the world\u2019s largest economy created jobs at a solid pace last month, further bolstering expectations the U.S. Federal Reserve will raise interest rates next month.<\/p>\n<p>The greenback posted two-month highs against the yen and nearly five-month highs versus the Swiss franc following a U.S. employment headline number that was slightly below the consensus forecast, but nonetheless depicted a strengthening labor market.<\/p>\n<p>U.S. nonfarm payrolls increased 215,000 last month, compared with market expectations for a rise of 223,000 jobs, but upward revisions to the previous months and a gain in average hourly earnings were viewed positively by investors.<\/p>\n<p>Today\u2019s figure strengthens the case for an interest rate hike in September as the U.S. economy remains in a healthy.<\/p>\n<p>The dollar index rose as high 98.334, the highest since April 23. Against the yen, the dollar touched two-month peak above 125 yen.
