Monday begins with Japanese trade data for December.<\/p>\n

In the European session, Germany publishes Ifo business climate data, while retail sales figures are issued for the Eurozone from Eurostat.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, the first data release comes from Australia with the National Australia Bank\u2019s Business Conditions Index for December.<\/p>\n

In Germany, retail sales and import price numbers are out, while France sees the release of business confidence data.<\/p>\n

The Office for National Statistics publishes its first estimate of Q4 GDP growth for the UK.<\/p>

Later that day in the North American trading session, durable goods orders data, consumer confidence numbers, the S&P\/Case-Shiller Home Price Index and the latest Markit Flash US Services PMI are all out in the US.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, inflation numbers are published in Australia. Then consumer confidence data are released by Gfk for Germany.<\/p>\n

The highlight of the week will be the Federal Reserve\u2019s Federal Open Market Committee\u2019s (FOMC) latest interest rate decision.<\/p>\n

Australia\u2019s trade prices are out on Thursday while Japan sees the release of retail sales numbers.<\/p>\n

The Reserve Bank of New Zealand announce their latest interest rate decision. This would be interesting to watch since the New Zealand dollar has been falling recently on expectations of a rate cut.
\nUnemployment and inflation numbers are issued in German, while business climate data are published for the Eurozone.<\/p>\n

Initial jobless claims data are out in the US.<\/p>\n

On Friday, Japan sees the release of inflation and industrial output numbers, unemployment figures and housing starts data.<\/p>\n

Flash inflation numbers for January and unemployment data for December are out for the Eurozone.<\/p>\n

Gfk issues consumer confidence data for the UK.<\/p>\n

Finally, in the US, the first estimate of fourth quarter GDP will be the highlight, with the Reuters\/Michigan Consumer Sentiment Index also out.<\/p>\n
