The\u00a0<em>S&amp;P 500\u00a0<\/em>gained 0.9% to 2784.17,.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ifcmarkets.com\/en\/market-data\/dji\">Dow Jones\u00a0<\/a>industrial rallied 1.3% to 24776.59 closing above the 50-day moving average. The\u00a0<em>Nasdaq\u00a0<\/em>composite index rose 0.9% to 7756.20. The dollar rebounded:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ifcmarkets.com\/en\/market-data\/usdidx\">live dollar index<\/a>\u00a0data show the ICE US Dollar index, a measure of the dollar\u2019s strength against a basket of six rival currencies, inched up 0.06% to 94.066 and is higher currently. Stock index futures indicate higher openings today.<\/p>\n<div class=\"news_announce t_anounce component_text component_text_all wrap_small\">\n<div class=\"text_cont_wrapper\">\n<p>Treasury yields rose on the Federal Reserve data consumer borrowing expanded in May with total consumer credit increasing $24.6 billion to $3.9 trillion, up 7.6%. This is the fastest pace of credit growth since November.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"m_overv_image_cont\">\n<div class=\"col-lg-7 col-md-7 col-sm-12 col-xs-12\">\n<h2 class=\"emailSummary\">FTSE 100 leads European indices gains<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"emailSummary\"><b>European stocks\u00a0<\/b>advanced fifth straight session on Monday. The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cfdrates.com\/en\/gbp-usd\">GBPUSD<\/a>\u00a0turned lower while\u00a0<em>EURUSD<\/em>\u00a0continued its climb and both pairs are moving higher currently. The Stoxx Europe 600 index rose 0.6%. The\u00a0<em>DAX 30\u00a0<\/em>gained 0.4% to 12543.89 and France\u2019s\u00a0<em>CAC 40\u00a0<\/em>added 0.4%. UK\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ifcmarkets.com\/en\/market-data\/indices-prices\/gb100\">FTSE 100\u00a0<\/a>rose 0.9% to 7687.99. Indices opened 0.1% &#8211; 0.2% higher today.<\/p>\n<div class=\"news_announce t_anounce component_text component_text_all wrap_small\">\n<div class=\"text_cont_wrapper\">\n<p>Pound ended lower after sudden resignation Sunday night of David Davis, who led the UK\u2019s Brexit discussions with the European Union. UK\u2019s foreign minister quit too after Brexit minister David Davis\u2019s resignation in protest at May\u2019s plans to keep close trade ties with the European Union after Britain leaves the bloc.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"m_overv_image_cont\">\n<div class=\"col-lg-7 col-md-7 col-sm-12 col-xs-12\">\n<h2 class=\"emailSummary\">Asian indices mixed<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"emailSummary\"><b>Asian stock indices<\/b>\u00a0are mostly higher today.\u00a0<em>Nikkei\u00a0<\/em>gained 0.7% to 22196.89 as yen climb against the dollar continued. Chinese stocks are advancing after report China&#8217;s consumer inflation picked up in June: the\u00a0<em>Shanghai Composite Index\u00a0<\/em>is up 0.4% and Hong Kong\u2019s\u00a0<em>Hang Seng\u00a0<\/em>Index is 0.4% higher. Australia\u2019s All Ordinaries Index is down 0.4% as the Australian dollar continues its march higher against the greenback.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ifccd.net\/uploads\/image\/HK50_O_10June2018.png\" alt=\"HK50\" width=\"660 px\" \/><\/p>\n<div class=\"m_overv_image_cont\">\n<div class=\"col-lg-5 col-md-5 hidden-sm hidden-xs\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"col-lg-7 col-md-7 col-sm-12 col-xs-12\">\n<h2 class=\"emailSummary\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ifcmarkets.com\/en\/market-data\/commodities-prices\/brent\">Brent\u00a0<\/a>up on shortage concerns<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"emailSummary\"><b>Brent futures prices\u00a0<\/b>are higher today on potential supply shortages concerns after reports hundreds of oil workers in Norway were set to strike later in the day. Prices ended higher Monday over Libya and Venezuela disruptions concerns.
