Nasdaq closes at record<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

US stock indices\u00a0<\/b>ended sharply higher on Friday after report 313000 new jobs were created in February but wage growth was at below expected 0.1% on month.\u00a0S&P 500<\/a>\u00a0climbed 1.7% to 2786.57.\u00a0Dow Jones\u00a0<\/em>industrial average rallied 1.8% to 25335.74. The\u00a0Nasdaq\u00a0<\/em>composite gained 1.8% to 7560.81. The dollar strengthening persisted: the\u00a0live dollar index<\/a>\u00a0data show the ICE US Dollar index, a measure of the dollar\u2019s strength against a basket of six rival currencies, edged up 0.02% to 90.12. Stock indices futures point to higher openings today.<\/p>\n

European stocks advance<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

European stocks\u00a0<\/b>extended gains on Friday supported by strong US jobs report. The\u00a0euro\u00a0<\/em>extended losses against the dollar while the\u00a0British Pound\u00a0<\/em>turned higher. The Stoxx Europe 600 index rose 0.4%, ending up 3.1% for the week. However he\u00a0DAX 30\u00a0<\/em>slipped 0.1% to 12346.68 on disappointing exports and factory output data. France\u2019s\u00a0CAC 40\u00a0<\/em>gained 0.4% and UK\u2019s\u00a0FTSE 100\u00a0<\/a>added 0.3% to 7224.51. Indices opened 0.3% – 0.5% higher today.<\/p>\n

Hang Seng leads Asian indices rally<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Asian stock indices<\/b>\u00a0are higher today as upbeat US jobs report boosted investors risk appetite.\u00a0Nikkei\u00a0<\/em>rallied 1.8% to 21848.50 despite yen strengthening against the dollar. Chinese stocks are rising: the\u00a0Shanghai Composite Index\u00a0<\/em>is up 0.6% and Hong Kong\u2019s\u00a0Hang Seng\u00a0<\/em>Index is 1.9% higher. Australia\u2019s All Ordinaries Index is up 0.6% despite continued Australian dollar strength against the greenback.<\/p>\n

Brent\u00a0<\/a>slips<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Brent futures prices\u00a0<\/b>are lower today weighed by rising US output. Market participants expect US output to continue rising. Prices rose Friday boosted by easing of geopolitical concerns on news President Donald Trump will meet North Korea\u2019s leader by May. May Brent rose 3% to $65.49 a barrel on Friday. It gained 1.7% in the week.<\/p>\n
