All three main US stock indices end at record highs<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

US stock indices<\/b>\u00a0extended the streak of record highs on Friday on revived optimism President Trump\u2019s tax cuts may get enacted after 2018 budget blueprint approval by Senate. The dollar hit a nearly three month high: the\u00a0live dollar index<\/a>\u00a0data show the ICE US Dollar index, a measure of the dollar\u2019s strength against a basket of six rival currencies, jumped 0.6% to 93.72.\u00a0S&P 500<\/a>\u00a0gained 0.5% to 2575.21 led by financial shares. The US broad market index rose 0.8% for the week.\u00a0Dow Jones\u00a0<\/em>industrial average rose 0.7% to 23328.63. The\u00a0Nasdaq\u00a0<\/em>composite added 0.4 % to record high 6629.05.<\/p>\n

European stocks advance<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

European stocks\u00a0<\/b>ended higher on Friday with gains limited by concerns over rising political tension in Spain after Catalonia referendum. The\u00a0euro\u00a0<\/em>fell 0.6% on reports European Central Bank is not in a hurry to taper its monthly bond purchases program. The\u00a0British Pound\u00a0<\/em>resumed gains against the dollar on Brexit talk hopes after Angela Merkel acknowledged the need for progress. The Stoxx Europe 600 index ended the session up 0.3%. The\u00a0DAX 30\u00a0<\/em>rose marginally to 12991.28. France\u2019s\u00a0CAC 40\u00a0<\/em>gained 0.1% and UK\u2019s\u00a0FTSE 100\u00a0<\/a>closed little changed at 7523.23. Indices opened mixed today.<\/p>\n

Asian indices mixed after Abe\u2019s election win<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Asian stock indices<\/b>\u00a0mixed today.\u00a0Nikkei\u00a0<\/em>rose 1.1% to 21696.65 supported by extended losses in yen against the dollar and a landslide election victory for the country\u2019s ruling party. Chinese stocks are mixed after report China home price growth slowed again in September: the\u00a0Shanghai Composite Index\u00a0<\/em>is up 0.2% while Hong Kong\u2019s\u00a0Hang Seng\u00a0<\/em>Index is 0.6% lower. Australia\u2019s All Ordinaries Index is down 0.2% despite a weaker Australian dollar against the greenback.<\/p>\n

Oil slips<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Oil futures prices\u00a0<\/b>edging lowered today. Prices rose Friday as OPEC forecast growing global demand and active US rig count fell by seven last week. December Brent rose 0.9% to $57.75 a barrel on Friday, gaining 1% for the week.<\/p>\n
