HealthSpace Data Systems Ltd. (HS:CSE; HSDLF:OTCMKTS) announced in a news release it finalized its contract with the Florida State Department of Health (FSDH), the largest for the company to date. Florida is the second state to adopt HealthSpace’s cloud solution.

HealthSpace provides inspection, information, communication and data management systems to federal, state, county and municipal governments.

The company’s five-year contract with the FSDH is for $3,213,720 and has an option to extend it for another three years. More than 1,100 agency employees, spread among various departments—licensing, inspections, billing, payments and more—will use HealthSpace’s system.

“The scale of this deployment cannot be understated and provides us significant standing as we pursue larger deals,” CEO Silas Garrison said in the release.

The FSDH also intends to use numerous components of HealthSpace’s My Health Department platform that will allow private companies to submit applications, pay licensing fees and obtain information online. For HealthSpace, this represents a potentially significant, additional line of revenue outside the total contract value.

For the state of Florida, “combining both platforms under one roof will streamline the communication and paperwork for tens of thousands of inspections performed every year and thousands of licensing applications processed on a monthly basis,” the release noted.
