Dollar sentiment weakens as US-Mexico deal reached

Net bets in favor of US dollar declined slightly last week to $23.34 billion from $23.65 billion against the major currenciesduring the previous week, according to the report of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) covering data up to August 28 released on Friday August 31. The ICE dollar index weakened, as live dollar index data show, with the decline in the demand for haven assets as US and Mexico reached a preliminary trade deal.
