ECB cuts repo rate 10 bps to 0.05%, deposit rate to -0.20%

    The European Central Bank (ECB) cut its benchmark refinancing rate by a further 10 basis points to 0.05 percent and pushed its deposit rate further into negative territory by cutting it by 10 points to minus 0.20 percent.
    In addition, the ECB cut the rate on its marginal lending facility by 10 points to 0.30 percent. ECB President Mario Draghi will comment on the reasons for the rate cut later today.
