Japanese Nikkei closed at 1.26%, and the financial stocks overall, dropped to more than 7%.<span id=\"more-2038\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Most of the state-owned Chinese banks have been charging some of the highest lending rates recently, from over 25% in most cases.<\/p>\n<p>This is because the People\u2019s Bank of China have temporarily have stopped the supply of low-priced money in order to inflict more control and reduce the reliance on credit from its banks.<\/p>\n<p>Concerns were raised regarding the possible cut in the money market after PBOC\u2019s decision, which could place the small lenders out of business.
