When HTC<\/b> (2498<\/a>) launched the new smartphone in its \u201cOne\u201d lineup in February, the outlook didn\u2019t look very promising.<\/p>\n

As we said at the time, \u201cin terms of\u00a0Android-powered handsets<\/a>, HTC hasn\u2019t been able to hold a torch to Samsung\u2019s\u00a0<\/b>(BC94<\/a>) hit Galaxy devices.\u201d<\/p>\n

But considering that the company now expects second-quarter revenue to jump 64%, to nearly $2.4 billion, it seems that the beleaguered smartphone maker could have hit a home run with the new handset.<\/p>\n

A quick glance at HTC\u2019s chart shows that investor interest is starting to heat back up. Shares have increased 26% since mid-March.<\/p>\n
