Crude&#8217;s gains were also largely due to better then expected earnings from Alcoa Inc.<\/p>\n<p><span><\/span>Crude appreciated 1.7 percent to reach the $102.70 mark after the latest inventories report which showed improved results in comparison to previous figures .
